Soap Swap and Swirling!

So, I'm officially a part of Bramble Berry's soap swap this spring! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am! I signed up for both the CP and the M&P swaps -- I'll take this opportunity to learn as much as I can from others!

Speaking of the soap swap, I have the CP soap made and ready! I decided to go with CnS Cucumber Melon for my fragrance, using Brambleberry's Chrome Green Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, and Fizzy lemonade colors.

Here, I've dispersed the pigments into individual containers. I have a  chrome green one, two parts chrome green to one part fizzy lemonade, and then titanium dioxide.

Mixing the colors -- I should have done this by hand. My recipe traced fast!

Pouring the colors into a mold-release-sprayed dish pan that I got to be a makeshift slab mold -- $1 at your local dollar store!

Layering the colors to prepare for the swirl!

LOOK HOW PRETTY. <3
I insulated the mold with a heating pad to try and force gel -- I really wanted the wow factor that a gel phase gives these pigments. I got funny little rivets in the top of the soap, but I was able to shave it off.

And the final bars! <3 It smells amazing!

    1. Thanks! It was my first time trying to do an intricate swirl, so I'm glad I was able to get it spot-on!
